Complete User Guide
A customer-ready guide to navigation, projects, tracking, people, reports, files and subscription features.
Complete User Guide
Use this guide as the map for a normal WorkPulse workspace. What each person can see depends on their role, the selected company and the features included in that company's plan.
1. Dashboard and navigation
The dashboard summarises current activity. The left navigation links to time, reports, files and administration pages. If you belong to more than one company, use the account menu to switch workspace before making changes.
2. People, roles and teams
- Invite people from Users and assign an appropriate role.
- Use teams to group people for projects and reporting.
- Roles control permission; team membership does not grant administrative access by itself.
3. Projects and tasks
Create a project, assign its team and optionally add a budget. When Task Management is included, the task dashboard adds Kanban-style work items, assignments, status and attachments.
4. Time tracking and policies
Employees start and stop sessions against the correct project. Tracking policies can control breaks, daily or weekly limits and capture behaviour. Time Worked is the source for reviewing sessions and supporting evidence.
5. Session alerts
When Session Activity Notifications is included, authorised managers can open Session Alerts from the main navigation. Add email recipients, select start or stop events and send a test. Webhook delivery also requires both API Access and Webhooks. See the Session Alert Webhooks guide for endpoint, payload and signature instructions.
6. Reports and files
Project reports combine tracked duration, activity and wage information. The Files area stores customer uploads and capture attachments and shows the storage allowance attached to paid seats and optional extra storage.
7. Subscription and feature access
Open Subscription to see the current plan, paid seats, storage and the complete feature checklist. A feature can come from the plan or a tenant-specific entitlement; the user may still need the matching role permission.
Troubleshooting access
First confirm the selected company, then check the plan feature and finally the user's role permission. This order resolves most “page missing” questions without changing unrelated settings.
