Tracking Policies and Break Reviews
Tracking Policies are the company controls for breaks, lunch timing, inactivity warnings, and employee-specific exceptions.
Permissions
- Manage Tracking Policies: view and edit company policy, employee overrides, and Employee Overview.
- Review Tracking Exceptions: view Break Reviews and approve or reject an over-limit break.
Break workflow
- The employee takes a break under the effective policy.
- An overrun appears in Break Reviews after the configured grace period.
- An authorised reviewer records the decision. The recorded break duration is not rewritten.
Paid and unpaid break treatment is set by the policy. A break approval is a review decision, not a payroll payment action.
